Every week we run a variety of events including: Hot Chocolate on Mondays, Lunchbars twice a week, Equip & Explore on Wednesday evenings, Globe Cafe on Fridays and 5.20 groups throughout the week! Our CU is a member of the CU movement in Britain (UCCF) and worldwide (IFES). The CU movement is made up of students, supporters and staff standing together to bring the Gospel to all students. If you would like a FREE Bible, please fill in the following form and someone will get back to you! There are opportunities for kids work in the summer called Sparkford 3, run by Venture Holidays from 15th-24th August and also church apprentice opportunities for those graduating this summer. If you would like more info on any of this then just contact Dave. *LOVE THE WORD* This 6-week course to encourage the CU to be more in love with the Word continues on Thursday at 8am in the Chaplaincy. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t come along last week; please feel free to come along this week. The CU Prayer Meetings 8am weekday mornings on the Arts Centre sofas. 5.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Chapel, which is just inside the Chaplaincy. There is also a pre-Equip prayer meeting at 5pm before Equip in H0.52. It is so important that we cover our meetings, events and lives in prayer (for more info see Katy or read the Bible – the two are not equatable though!), so please come and join in with the privilege of speaking with the creator of everything! Globe Café This week's Globe will be a Jungle Party, details to be confirmed at the planning meeting (1pm Monday in the Arts Centre) but will probably involve dressing up, face-painting, jungle-themed food and other such delights! Friday 5-7pm in Chaplaincy. Lunchbar Thursday 12-1pm. A short talk from Ivor Cooper, on the topic of “Aren't all Christian hypocrites?” There’ll also be a free lunch and discussion afterwards. Hot Chocolate 11pm-2.30ish am Monday, meet in the chaplaincy. At 11pm we’ll start with prayer and then move outside about 12am to serve hot drinks and biccies, flyer and chat to people about spiritual beliefs and any questions they may have.
