Get Involved

Home › Get Involved

Wow! So much stuff and so little time! Hopefully, this is where you can find details of the many, many things that you can *Get Involved* in with CU, to further our aims of Mission and Maturity.

We really need your input with mission week preparation for next year. To check out ideas and add your own, follow this link!

Weekly Events

Almost everyday of the week, morning, afternoon and evening, there's opportunities to get involved! From 5.20s to Equip & Explore meetings you can pray, meet internationals, make hot chocolate, prepare lunches, and take part in action groups.

Annual Events

In addition to everything happening on a week-to-week basis, every now and then there's the opportunity to get involved with something extra special. These events usually only happen once a year, so make sure you don't miss out.

Houseparty

It's a party - in a house, although not really... For a weekend in November all of CU go away to spend time learning more about what it means to follow Jesus, praying together, singing songs, eating food & playing silly games!

Carol Service

The carol service is an annual event organised by our CU together with the CU at Coventry Uni. It will be happening in Week 10 of Term 1, in the unique Coventry Cathedral.

Unsurprisingly, we'll be singing some Christmas hymns as well as hearing the Gospel taught clearly and simply. Everyone loves carols, so its a great opportunity to invite your friends to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Last year over 800 people came, so let's be praying even now that more might turn up this year. If you want to get involved then please do because there's so much to do in organising an event like this. Get in touch by emailing Jen.

Events Week

Every year the CU organises a week of events to reach out to our campus with Good News. This year it was called FREE with guest speaker Krish Kandiah. Last year (Jan'08) during the "Priceless" week Graham Daniels spoke eloquently about Jesus during our evening meetings and lunchbars. Students from all across the globe attended Globe Cafe and every member of CU was able to take part in helping out. Events week is not the only time we do evangelism but a week dedicated to creating even more opportunities for our friends to hear about Jesus Christ.

Project PETE

Nothing to do with a guy called Pete, but stands for Post-Exams Training and Evangelism. When exams are over, and the sun is shining, we gather to equip ourselves and (unsurprisingly) share the Gospel on campus!
